About Mato Seco

Mato Seco is one of the great references of Brazilian reggae roots. Born in 2002, in São Caetano do Sul (SP), the band transformed the friendship of self-taught musicians into a project of resistance, spirituality, social awareness and celebration of life, with a remarkable sound and shows of strong connection with the public.

In the repertoire are hymns such as "Everything We Are Given (Only We Lack Faith), "Weighed Stones", "Ocult Brightness", "Illusion Navigants" and "Dry Matt" (Resistance). Among his works are the albums "Dry but Not Dead", "Dry and Still Living", "Popular Lift" and the EP "Letter of Humanity for Humanity". In 2026, she released the single "The Life As It Is", expanding a discography committed to the reggae message.

With passages by João Rock, Virada Cultural, Encounter of the Tribes and stages of the Sesc, the group continued in circulation in 2026, with presentations released in Sorocaba, Joinville and in the programming of the Municipal Day of the Reggae, in Praça da Luz, in São Paulo.

Mato Seco takes to theaters, festivals, Sesc and cultural events a pulsating spectacle, which unites public, rhythm and messages of peace, union and resistance.
