Dois Africanos
About Two Africans
Two Africans present "Pass Through Africa", a musical spectacle that transforms the stage into a journey through the sounds, stories and cultures of the African continent. Graduated in João Pessoa (PB), in 2012, the duo brings together Opai BigBig, from Benin, and Izy Mixe, from Togo, in a fusion of afro pop, traditional rhythms, hip-hop and Afro-Brazilian music.
Finalists of TV Globo's SuperStar program, artists gained national projection with "I Am from There" and a repertoire that values identity, diversity and connection between Africa and Brazil.
In acoustic format, with voice, guitar, percussion and dialogue with the public, "Passio Pela África" revisits references such as Miriam Makeba, Cesária Évora, Papa Wemba and Angélique Kidjo, as well as copyrighted songs such as "Djuba", "History" and "Dream of Success". The project has already integrated cultural programming and the duo has performed in Sesc Osasco.
An artistic and educational experience for Sesc, theatres, festivals and events dedicated to music, memory and cultural diversity.
